Colle di Maggio

May hill

A dream of the form of wine

The history of our vineyards has roots that lie in the sixties, when Domenico Tulino, a successful lawyer and patron of art, decided to set up the first historic vineyards. Today, the new management, guided by a family vision and a deep passion for experimentation, works with dedication to enhance this wine heritage that boasts over fifty years of tradition.

Located in Velletri, in the Albani Hills, “The Rome Campaign”, the company takes its name from what was once called the “Prato di Maggio district”.

volcanic territory

Colle di Maggio is immersed in the hilly landscape of the ancient volcano of the Albani hills. For over fifty years, the roots of our vines have been nourished by this special soil, which offers nutrients and which gives our products a unique elegance.

On the millenary volcanic land that surrounds Colle di Maggio, as well as native vines such as the Bombino and italic as the Fiano, ancient vines of international origin are planted such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot.
White and red international varieties and Italian white varieties grown with a sixth of planting that includes 4,500 vines per hectare, with yields of 1.5 kg per plant for reds and 2 kg for whites which, together with the volcanic soil, represent the guarantee of an extreme quality.
Our vineyards and olive groves are located between 150 and 300 meters above sea level.
